Ron Spithill
Ron has an extensive background in the telecommunications industry. He was previously president Alcatel Asia Pacfic, responsible for operations in 16 countries, and Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Paris-Based Alcatel group and Vice-Chairman of Alcatel Shanghai Bell. He has been CEO and chairman of Alcatel Australia and been director/chairman of eight other group companies in Asia.
Ron is a regular speaker at international industry and business events, and has addressed the World Economic Forum. He is a past President of the Telecommunications Industry Association of Australia. He was made a Distinguished Fellow of the Telecommunications Society of Australia in 2003 and a Fellow of The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering in 2007.
He holds a degree in engineering from the University of New South Wales and is a graduate of the Harvard Executive Program.
